2- Four Stroke Yamaha Outboard Engines. Super low hours 60 +/-. Boat flipped over with tide and submerged the engines in salt water for 24+ hours. Engines were washed out as soon as the boat was pulled out. Engine oil was drained and no water appeared to be in the oil. Johnson 4.0 HP, two cylinder, two stroke. Has extra long shaft. I used it to push a small sailboat in and out of harbors. I bought this new in 1985, and it has only about 100 hours of use. It was filled with WD40 when it was put away 15 years ago. It turns over freely. I do not have a tank or hose, so there is no way to test it. Im listing this as a used winch, but it never has been mounted or used. The only thing that separates this from a new winch is that some of the paint is a bit weak. I hope it will show in the picts. This is the Powerwinch w/ 500 lb. pull. H-D cast aluminum case, not the plastic one that will crack very easily. Trust me! :) Nice winch that will provide years of good service whether if its used as an anchor winch or used for hauling crab pots. Ill send this anywhere in Alaska if needed. Thanks! Honda actually makes two different versions of their 8hp motors, the BF8a (this one) and BF8D (which has the rounded cover). BF8a is also known as the Honda \"Classic\" Its a 25\" xtra long shaft. Its been in continuous production for around 20 years, and is still produced today. The engine is in good shape, and runs great. Weighing only 78 pounds, it’s about 25 pounds lighter than similar 8/9.9HP 4-strokes. Still even has the original prop (w/original paint on it) with no dings The reason Im selling? This engine has been on my 28 sailboat since it was new. Works great, but they dont make a \"power thrust\" version prop for it. 97% of the time, I dont need a power thrust, but when trying to get back to the harbor fighting 35+ knot winds on a 28 sailboat, it was slow going. Always got us home, just slowly if fighting those kinds of winds. When wind is calm, motor would push us at a cruising speed of 6.5 knots @ approximately 1/3 throttle, burning between 0.4 & 0.5 gal/hour. I actually bought a new Honda 9.9 (power thrust) this December, but wanted to make sure it fit and ran right before putting up my older, but very reliable, motor for sale. Ran the 9.9 this weekend, and all appears to work well, so old motor is now for sale. As I said, it runs great and uses zero motor oil during the season, and oil changes are always with Mobil-1 10w-30 synthetic. Is fresh water flushed after every weekend. Have flush adapter, fuel tank & hose. Also have full set of factory shop manuals (I prefer to perform my own maintenance). Has always been properly winterized (eg: fogging oil) and stored in the garage during the off season. Motor is in Wasilla, but I commute to Anchorage and could make arrangements to meet for delivery.
