Lean-To is a Northwest-style troller converted to a double-cabin cruiser with a trunk extending forward of the main deckhouse and a separate aft cabin. Hull and pilothouse are white with gray decks and cabin tops. Sheer rubrail is a turquoise green; lower rubrail is dark green. Bootstripe is turquoise green. Bottom is red copper paint. Caprails are purpleheart, finished natural. Mast, boom, and boom gallow stanchions are buff. The vessel is hauled annually, freshly painted, both topsides and bottom, caulked as needed, and seam compound refreshed as needed, with zincs replaced annually. Below deck, starting forward, is a v-berth with filler and storage beneath, followed by galley to port including stainless steel sink (H/C pressure water) with storage under and Dickenson Lofoten diesel/kerosene stove and folding table and sitting bench opposite. On the aft bulkhead is a 2 gallon steel pressurized fuel oil tank and Guest three-stage 110 volt charger (new, 2007). The interior finish in this area is wood panel and trim, fabric upholstery, and teak and holly sole. Overhead is an opening daylight hatch providing emergency access to the foredeck. Opening Bronze portholes provide additional ventilation and natural light. Brass light fixtures throughout. Steps lead upward to the deck level pilothouse with hydraulic steering and cable engine controls, engine instruments, electric panels and electronics. Steering is centered with Wagner/Sauer 5” compass directly in front of steering station. Engine throttle and transmission controls are to the left. To the right, on the dash, is a Simrad video depth sounder. Mounted on the pilothouse ceiling, to the right, is a Simrad RA-772A radar that utilizes a RB-714A radome. Also mounted in the same vicinity is a Standard-Horizon Spectrum DSC/VHF transceiver. To the left and mounted on the dash is a Garmin GPS receiver and course plotter (new 2008). To the rear of the pilothouse, on the port side, is a Uniden Pro 510X CB transceiver. A sole hatch in the pilothouse accesses the machinery space beneath. Contained within the machinery space is a Detroit Diesel 4-53 5042-4000, non turbocharged, 4 cylinder 115 hp engine that drives a Twin-Disc hydraulic reverse and reduction gear to a stainless alloy 1 ¼” propeller shaft through a packing gland at the stern tube. The engine is electric start, fresh water keel cooled, and has dry stack exhaust through a venture trunk at the rear of the pilothouse cabin. Engine was reported to be rebuilt in 1997 with 7600 hours indicated. Port and starboard are two, 90 gallon steel fuel tanks, with fill pipes on the main deck. Fuel lines and valves were replaced in 2005 with new Parker valves and steel reinforced fuel lines. There is 1 8-D 12-volt starting battery (new, 2005). The engine driven alternator or the 110-volt charger maintains charging. Also contained within this department is double Racor fuel filtering and an Algae X fuel pre-treatment system. Exiting the pilothouse through the sliding door, there are on-deck engine controls mounted to the aft, starboard side. A shower attachment is fitted to the exterior of the aft cabin. A companionway hatch accesses the aft cabin, with stairs leading down to upholstered settee berths port and starboard with ventilated storage under, and a removable table on center, with a teak and holly floor, 2 overhead daylight and emergency exit hatches to the aft deck and brass lighting fixtures. Beneath the sole is access to the propeller shaft packing. Forward, there is a Shur Flo 12 volt water pump and pressure switch and Sea Ward Products 6 gallon 110-volt/engine-exchange water heater. Moving back to the deck, aft is a coaming hatch that accesses the lazarette, which contains steering gear and storage. There are 2 8-D 12-volt batteries (new 2008), port and starboard, in parallel for house current mounted in covered boxes. A folding fisherman-type spare anchor and Nylon road are stored here. Forward are two FRP potable water tanks, 80 gallons total. On deck, low bulwarks surround the exterior deck. The wooden boom gallows are supported with powdercoated aluminum stanchions. The solid wood mast is stepped to the deck, just aft of the main cabin, stayed with 1/4 “ by 6x19 stainless cable poured socket shrouds and headstay to proper chainplates, with a solid round wooden boom gooseneck mounted to the mast. The boom has a four-part topping lift and four-part sheet tackle. The foredeck has the hydraulic anchor windlass. The anchor is a Forfjord #6 galvanized safety anchor with 300’ of 5/16 G-3 galvanized chain and 100’ of 5/8 three strand Nylon rode.
