About the place:You will be living in a modern 5 bedroom + office / 3 bathroom house (approx. 2900 sq ft) with a gorgeous upgraded kitchen, plenty of common area space, and a canyon-view backyard. Common areas are fully furnished, and the house includes amenities such as a washer/dryer, weight bench, large plasma television, pool table, and even a fire pit in the backyard.The room we have available is the only downstairs bedroom, and is 12x12 (not including the large closet that spans one of the walls). You will be sharing the downstairs bathroom with one other person (male). If additional storage space outside of the bedroom is needed, there are various areas around the house (such as the garage and closets) that may be able to provide a bit more space. There is also some room available for use in the office.The house is located near the intersection of Camino Santa Fe and Sorrento Valley Blvd, just minutes from UCSD, off the Sorrento Valley Blvd exit of I-5 (the exit immediately after Genesee when headed Northbound), and near the Mira Mesa Blvd. exit on 805. I-15 is also accessible, just on the other end of Mira Mesa Blvd. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, and there is plenty of street parking in addition to the three spots provided by the driveway.About us:Your roommates will be four 20-something professionals (three guys and one girl), as well as one somewhat standoffish orange cat who is locked away in the master suite approximately 90% of the time. We have been living together for years and would like to keep the same drama-free environment that we have enjoyed. We try to keep things relatively clean -- obviously with 4-5 people it is difficult to keep the place spotless, but we make an effort to keep the chaos under control and the house in good shape.We are all recent grads and have not completely lost our social spirit! Although we typically lay low during the week due to our work schedules, we still like to hang out together, enjoy a drink or good meal, watch movies, shoot some pool or play Rock Band, and have cool friends over for fun activities. However, this is NOT a party house and you won’t find red cups littering the backyard (and we’d like to keep it that way…). We invite you to chill with us, but will also leave you to your own devices and won’t disturb you if you prefer privacy.Deal breakers:Unfortunately due to allergies, cigarette smoking cannot be allowed inside or near open windows to the house. If you want to take it out front, that may be acceptable (we can discuss).We are not looking to add any additional pets to the household at this time, and if you are allergic to the pre-existing cat that is obviously not going to work.The downstairs where the bedroom is located is primarily tile flooring so there is not a lot of sound-proofing.
