I am a single mom with two well behaved kids finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. I know the idea of rentng a room from someone that has kids doesnt sound too exciting but during the week they would be awake for a couple of hours before heading to bed and the weekends would be packed with chores and running around so you wouldnt actually see them too much. The room is fairly large it has a bed and dresser in it an has a fairly large closet. There is only one bathroom in the apartment. The apartment is on the second floor and there is a pool in the complex. We dont have cable but that can be added if youd like, we just arent home enough to watch any tv. This apartment is perfect for someone who has a busy life style. I just ask that you be respectful, reliable,honest and little to no drama. Were all laid back - past that \"partying\" age, but we still like to hang out and have more than a couple of drinks with friends on the weekends. -My girlfriend and I share the master bed/bath. -The third roommate has a regular 9-5, plus he coaches several dance teams/classes in North County, so hes basically only here to sleep a couple nights a week. Pets: -My girlfriend and I have two 11-month old kittens who sleep in our bedroom. -My girlfriend also has six beta fish in various tanks. -The landlord doesnt want any dogs here, sorry; and wed rather not bring more cats into the house in case they end up not getting along well with the kittens. Smoking: -My girlfriend smokes; myself and the other roommate do not. -No smoking whatsoever in the house; the garage and back porch are okay though. $700/month + $100/month for utilies (includes high speed internet and cable) from now until the end of July. Plus, Id like at least half a share of a security deposit ($350 instead of $700) since its only 6 months and I dont think that its fair to have someone with nothing invested into it. Im flexible though if the right person comes around (basically, I dont want to have to keep paying for an empty room, but I dont want someone to try lowballing me because of it). |

Hi,I am advertising a room for rent in our 3BD 2.5BA apartment. The room for rent is upstairs and has its own full bath and walk-in closet. It will be available for sure around Feb. 20th, maybe earlier. The apartment is located 1 block from the beach and about six blocks from Newport Ave. Close to downtown and major freeways. The apartment comes with a W/D, back porch, fireplace, dishwasher, assigned parking (in addition to street parking )and on-site maintenance. You will be living with two 29 year old females who have outgrown their wild partying days. We like to drink (especially wine) and go out but we dont ever bring the party home. We would prefer someone close to our age and a female is a must. I am a full time law student and my roommate works 8-5 downtown so would prefer fellow law or graduate student or a working professional. We are pretty laid back (we live in OB) but want a roommate who cleans up after themselves. If you make the mess, you clean it up. Cats and/or reptiles in cages/tanks may be negotiated but just know that officially the complex does not allow pets so you would be taking that risk.
