I am a single but attached female. I have 2 cats, but they stay 90% of the time in North KC at my boyfriends house, and so do I. I am looking for a roommate to take the entire finished basement (about 500 sq ft and it has a fireplace and windows!!!) Private bathroom upstairs, eat in kitchen, private garage parking (shared with me, but you have your own side :) washer/dryer and a private courtyard with furniture. Nice quiet street, complex has a pool, fitness room, and tennis courts.I am a professional photographer and I have a studio and a bedroom on the 3rd floor, with my office/proofing on the second floor. But the basement is huge and completely furnished, the guy moving out had a 7ft x 7ft couch, tv, coffee table, entertainment center, queen bed, nighstand and desk down there and it wasnt cluttered at all. There is also unfinished storage in a separate room off the basement and also the laundry room is down there, again in a separate room from the basement.The townhouse itself is 2000 sq ft, huge! And I am truly rarely here, usually just on the weekends and maybe 1 - 2 days a week, but thats it.Looking for a cool, quiet roomie, an Art student (photography would be awesome) would be a great fit, or a young professional. There are a couple of 10x14 rooms available so rent on your own or bring a friend. Partially furnished available at no additional cost. I have a room for rent near Raytown. It is technically East Kansas City. Decent neighborhood, never had any problems. I am looking for someone that is VERY responsible, has been at there current job for a while, has some good professional refrences, and is clean. The room is small and does have a closet. The rent would be 200 a month plus 1/3 for utilities. So all together maybe 250 a month. I have a 3 bedroom home with a full basement. The basement is not furnished for living but could be used for some storage. The house is not huge ( the upstairs is about 1000 sqaure feet). We have 2 Black labs and a fenced in yard. You could possibly bring a pet, depending on size and how well trained they are (potty trained).The rent is very cheap, but that does not mean we are looking for someone that thinks they can live off of us. I work full time and my boyfriend is currently recovering from a broken collar bone, but will be back to work. Ideally I would like to find someone mature, not a big drinker, not a smoker (if you must outside), clean, and the main thing have rent on time!This would be ideal for someone that has a busy life and just needs a cheap yet comfortable place to crash at night. I have a room coming available as soon as mid-July in my place. Its a full bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet, with full access(of course) to the common elements of the 1450 square foot first floor loft. Pictures are available upon request, but Im currently all hooked up to the stereo, and its a Friday night. No part of the downtown area is more than a 20-minute walk. Street parking is relatively easy, if you know where to go. If youre my roommate, Ill be sure to let you in on the art of Garment District parking. If you insist on a garage spot, its like 60 or 70 or 90 bucks a month or something. I dont bother with it, because I cant justify it for my POS Subaru.Some standard features:-12-foot ceilings-large laundry machines that are accessible without having to put on pants-beer on tap-hurricane-like showers-a fitness room that I hear is lovely-a bunch of friendly Nordic underwear models for neighbors-easy walking access to what is, in my opinion, the best neighborhood in KC for people that enjoy living.Theres more, Im sure. Its a great place to live. I wouldnt have bought a place here if it wasnt. the utilities(electric+internet) usually total about $200 a month, and it goes up a bit in the winter, if youre into heat.Walking:5 min to City Market10 min to any bus17 min to Power and Light20 min to the West Side25 min to Crossroads320 min to Overland ParkIm a professionalish IT guy. 30. Straight. Single, but not really. No kids. I work from home when I can, but my insecure boss is getting all needy lately about me coming in. I love downtown and Kansas City in general, and I love indoctrinating people to its virtues. I arrange pubcrawls and kickball teams and parties and general things that people find enjoyable.I would love for you to be either a man or a woman, gay or straight, I dont care. Please understand though that I am absolutely 100% not interested in becoming involved with a roommate. I can handle you being an attractive twenty-something woman with an active social calendar. Just keep it down after midnight. Smoking is okay, just not in the apartment. Drugs are not okay at all. I love me some weed, but not in my castle. I would also love for you to be gainfully employed and at least 22 years old or so. I have nothing against students, but this isnt a great place for them. Dogs are great, cats are tolerable, both together are not going to work. Neither would be fine too.
