3br - san francisco nob hill for boston |
2009-05-17 3:53PM |
Offering - LARGE 1800sq ft. 2 bedroom, 2 garage parking, full Golden Gate view, 180 degree high up city ocean view, Nob Hill, place for your similar in Back Bay, Beacon Hill or other central area of Boston. We have 3 decks, one particularly large with BBQ. Tons of public transport by us (including the Cable car) . Laundry in the house. Timing - Were moving in about Nov and swap would be for about a year but very negotiable - basically this would suit someone moving to SF who would like to live in the city for a bit before buying something. As wed like to do in Boston. Our place is somewhat childproofed as we have 2 toddlers. It is VERY quiet at night and the views are out of this world. Floor to ceiling windows facing Golden Gate (west) and also south. Might suit academics (as we are) moving to UCSF from MGH/Harvard or similar.Wed like somewhere in central Boston, house, condo, loft area all OK. We need a 2 or 3 bedroom or open loft. Garage for 2 cars is a must, Views of water/city would be perfect but if not, then tons of light. If there are kid dangers such as floor level windows or interior staircase we will need to install simple latches or safety gates. Our kids are well behaved, and wouldnt draw on the walls, destroy things etc ! What else.. um, our place is basically simple, sleek modern (although building is 100 yrs old), European-look (one of us is Eur). We could swap furnished or not. No cats/dogs please and we have none. Pics available for description of your place. its NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |
Looking for roommate - no apt yet! |
2009-05-17 3:31PM |
All of my friends and old roommates have paired off and are living with their significant others. I spent the last year paying too much in rent for an apartment that isnt ideal for me to commute from. Try as I might, I havent been able to find anyone through any of my networks that needs a roommate for this fall, so Im giving CL a shot. My first apartment after college was found through a CL ad, so hopefully I can have good luck again. About me:27 year old single professional male. I grew up in Massachusetts, went to school in NH, and ended up back here afterward. Ive been living in the Boston area since late 2004, and will probably stay here for a few more years before I head out to the burbs. I work normal hours at an awesome company located in South Boston. Im currently commuting there now from Allston, which is not ideal, like I mentioned above. I tend to be very clean and neat, and like things to be well decorated and inviting. I quickly got tired of living like a college student. When I moved to my current apartment I went out and bought a lot of stuff brand new (sofa with chaise, high-top table with stools, leather coffee table / ottoman, matching end tables, etc.) I have a good group of friends who live in the area, so I wouldnt be at the apartment all of the time on the weekends, but I tend to be around on weeknights. Im into skiing in the winter, cycling in the summer, and generally doing anything that involves the outdoors, BBQing and beers included. Speaking of beer, Im sort of a beer geek. I home brew once in a while and like to have some unique craft and micro brews on hand. Dont worry, I dont sit around and get sloppy drunk. I cant think of anything else to mention about me, but feel free to ask.About YOU:Im looking for a mid-late 20s female to live with. Ive lived with a bunch of different guys throughout the years, and no matter how clean they claim they are, and how much I redouble my efforts to keep the place clean, it always ends up looking/smelling like a guy house. When I visit my friends that are women, however, there is a good chance that while looking lived in, the place will be clean and neat. I think this stems from guys my age being more content to live like they are still in school. I also want this to look like a home, not a college crash pad. You should also be some sort of professional, work normal hours, pay bills on time, have your own friends, hobbies, interests, and a similar sense of cleanliness and respect for the home. No live-in significant others / cats, please. Please be down to earth and friendly, I dont want to just have a stranger living with me, I hope we would be able to go grab a drink or watch a DVD like non-CL roommates would. About the place:It doesnt exist yet! Once I find the right roommate, I want this to be a mutual search so that you dont feel like you are moving into my space. On nice days I cycle to work, but for the winter I would like to be somewhere on/near the Red Line. Anywhere from Davis Square to South Boston would be OK with me, really. We would likely be looking for a 2 bed / 1 bath for $1500 or so. I would really like to have some sort of outdoor space for a grill. Ive been in a complex for the last year and miss coming home from work and throwing some burgers and veggies on for dinner. Other than that, Im not expecting modern or luxurious, just clean and well-maintained. I would really like to find a place to spend more than a year at, Ive moved too many times since college. Hopefully you feel the same and this works out! My current lease is up on August 31st, so ideally we would find a place that is available August 15th.If you agree with the following sentence, we will likely get along great as roommates: When cooking dinner, the meal isnt over until all the dishes are washed and the kitchen is left clean.Any other questions/comments/concerns, shoot me an email!its NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

Hi-I am a single mother with a 12 year old child,. Ideally, I would like to keep the rent as low as possible to save money over the next year[s]. I have never done this before, but I believe that this could work out well with the right combination. I am hoping to rent somewhere in a good school district, [we currently live in Newton] and also since we have two cats, someone who either also has pets, or who doesnt mind cats. $600 9/1 NEU Grad Student for Sept. 1st |

Hello! Ill be a graduate student at Northeastern in the fall (go Huskies!), and Im looking for a room I can move into on, or shortly before, September 1st. Id like to find a place close to campus, perhaps Jamaica Plain area, but Ill be happy to find anything near an Orange line T stop. Most importantly, Id prefer something in my budget - max of 500-600 in rent and then up to 150 in utilities at their highest, however something lower would be better :) Safety is also important to me, and I plan on getting renters insurance and perhaps an alarm system. Some things about me:Im in my early 20s, non-smoker, lesbian. Im not a big drinker, but I am a wine enthusiast. Im currently located, and have resided, in Detroit MI for the past few years for school. I love to bike, cook, and watch movies. I have a weakness for science fiction. While I could say that I read a lot, its mainly textbooks for my studies. I plan on living in Boston for at least the next 5 years. What Im looking for in a roommate(s):I believe Id be most compatible living with other students or young professionals, responsible individuals who are looking for someone that pays the bills on time. For health reasons, Id prefer non-smokers, or people willing to smoke outside the residence. I dont mind pets, although I dont own any myself and I do have dog allergies. Im a very friendly and tolerant person, and Id look forward to getting to know my roommate(s) and maybe watching a movie from time to time. However, with the 60 hr work weeks expected of me come September, I will be cherishing my quiet time :)Its a full 24-hr bus ride from Detroit to Boston, so even if you think Im a perfect match, I cant come out to visit your place right away. Im planning a week trip to Boston beginning of June, just to look at places. Please send me an email (preferably with pictures or descriptions) if you have a place for September. Id love to be able to talk over the phone to sort out details and ask/answer questions.Thank you for looking! Thanks for looking!cats are OK - purrrits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

I will be moving to Boston from Florida and need housing around August 1st. I will be a graduate student studying economics at BU in the fall. Im gay and 420 friendly, so hopefully that is ok with you. Im very easy to get along with and keep my common areas pretty neat and clean. I dont want to live at a party house, but friends over frequently is fine. I love going to bars and drinking socially, but not every night. I also love to cook. Im a vegetarian, and although itd be awesome, a vegetarian roommate is definitely not a requirement. I like the Allston/Brighton/Brookline area, so anywhere around there is perfect. The closer to BU the better. :) Oh, and Id love to live with pets if you have them.cats are OK - purrrdogs are OK - wooofits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

Landlords I will be brief and to the point. If you let me assist you with your rental properties in the following areas;\"Arlington,Belmont,Watertown,Medford, Waltham, Woburn,Stoneham,Wakefield\", I promise the following:Help you determine the highest possible rent for your property. I do not believe in starting with a high price and expect people to negotiate it down. I will recommend a realistic rent for immediate occupancy. We deal with a lot of potential tenants and we have a good feeling about what they are looking for,and how much they are willing to pay. We rent a very high percent of our listing in less than 2 weeks even some properties which have been vacant for number of weeks and months. We have clients waiting to rent and we make sure they are the right tenants for your property. We do not show your property to anyone unless we feel it is the right match. We run credit check on all applicants and check their references prior to contacting you. We then present everything to you for your approval. We prepare the lease, specify any requirement you may have, collect the money and deliver the signed copy of the lease to you.We represent a lot of landlords and management companies and I will be more than happy to provide you with references. We represent a lot of satisfied renters and they always call us when they decide to move. Please call me at my cell 978-857-8590 if you think I can be of any help. its NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

$800 male 25 needs apt and/or roomate(s) |
2009-05-20 1:30AM |

I am a 25 y/o male, full time law student entering my third year looking for a place starting Sept 1. I would like to save some money so less expensive is better but if the place or roommates are right then Ill go up to 800 or so. I am entering my third year at the Law school and need a place to live in the fall. I am friendly, respectful, pretty clean (I do try), kind of goofy, fun and really nice. I spend a lot of time reading, cooking, exercising, and watching sports or movies and trying new things. I occationally go out but I like to relax at home unless im out running or something. Im not looking for a new best friend or anything, but it would be fun to live with someone who would be receptive to tossing the frisbee when its nice out or having a beer while watching football. Ok so maybe I am kind of looking for a friend but whatever, this isnt the personal ads and wanting to be friends with someone isnt the worst thing in the world. Everyone puts that they are laid back and easy to get along with in their ads, but Id like to think that I really am. I have a unique sense of humor, sarcastic, witty, ridiculous, but not lewd, dirty, or offensive. So I am a bit goofy sometimes. When I have too much time on my hands, get bored, decide to procrastinate, or just spontaneously, I might decide to get into some new random activity, such as an obscure hobby, a strange collection, a new recipe, etc. past examples include attempting the 9-9-9 challenge (9 beers, 9 hotdogs, in 9 innings), a trip to a thrift store to buy interesting forks, trying to make a predictive statistic model for college football, mac and mac night (macaroni and macgyver), testing homemade internet vinager bodywash, built things out of pykrete, ate miracle fruit, and modifyed nerf guns to shoot harder. I guess im pretty immature but I just like to have fun and if that means I have to act my shoesize instead of my age, then so be it.Also, I am very laid back but a night owl, so would prefer not to live with someone who brings the party back with them very often as I sometimes study very late or all night. My last roommate did this and it wasnt the end of the world but if I can avoid it thatd be cool. either male or female, any age or school level is fine. Im looking in the packards corner BU area right now along the B line but will consider anywhere, if someone has some suggestions or wants to be roommates we can look together whereever. also open to a larger living situation such as a house or multi-bed apt. also: as fun and open minded as i am, i dont smoke anything or do illegal drugs, would like the same for roommate(s) so far ive gotten a lot of responses. way more than i ever thought id get. This means one of three things: either people are mistaking my dorkiness for coolness. its just the busy time of year for finding roommates and apartments for next year, or people get bored reading this whole thing and decide to email me based on the title. or maybe they just like people that ramble.dogs are OK - wooofits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

www.TradeAHome.com is the ONLY barter site on the web that creates multi-way trades. Lets say you want to trade for someone’s home but that homeowner doesnt want your house, with multi-way trades it doesnt matter! As long as there is a complete sycle, where every homeowner gets the house they WANT, it is a success. Also, you Realtor and Brokers still get their commission. The more FREE advertising the better, and on a site that increases your chances of getting into a home you actually WANT, well that’s just a bonus. its NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |

$800 male 25, needs apt and/or roommate(s) |

Everyone puts that they are laid back and easy to get along with in their ads, but I really am.So I am a bit goofy sometimes. When I have too much time on my hands, get bored, decide to procrastinate, or just spontaneously, I might decide to get into some new random activity, such as an obscure hobby, a strange collection, a new recipe, etc. past examples include attempting the 9-9-9 challenge (9 beers, 9 hotdogs, in 9 innings), a trip to a thrift store to buy interesting forks, trying to make a predictive statistic model for college football, mac and mac night (macaroni and macgyver), making a homemade vinager bodywash, and modified nerf guns to shoot harder. Also, I am very laid back but a night owl, so would prefer not to live with someone who brings the party back with them very often as I sometimes study very late. My last roommate did this and it wasnt the end of the world but if I can avoid it thatd be cool.either male or female, any age or school level is fine. Im looking in the packards corner BU area right now along the B line but will consider anywhere, if someone has some suggestions or wants to be roommates we can look together whereever. also open to a larger living situation such as a house or multi-bed apt.also: as fun and open minded as i am, i dont smoke anything or do illegal drugs, would like the same for roommate(s) dogs are OK - wooofits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests |
