Graduate Student Available as Summer Nanny (Baltimore) Baltimore Negotiable 2009-05-24 9:27AM
I am a graduate student studying speech-language pathology, and Im available this summer to work as a nanny/babysitter. Im in my late 20s, and Im very responsible and reliable--I show up on time, do the extra things like straighten up the house, load/unload the dishwasher, do the laundry if needed, etc. Im a non-smoker, and I have my own car with a good driving record. In my experience, one of the main complaints parents have had about their babysitters is that the house is a wreck when they get home, their kids have been sitting in front of the TV all day or the boyfriend was over. This is not an issue with me--I take care of others homes and kids as though they were my own. Because Im studying speech, I recognize the importance of creating a language-rich environment for children which includes a lot of reading and just learning about everything in the environment--if your child does have any speech or language concerns already, Im happy to reinforce any goals you have set for him or her. I have many years of experience working with kids of all ages, needs, and I have wonderful references.Im primarily looking for full-time daytime hours this summer, but I could do a few different part-time positions--it doesnt matter how early you need to leave for work, and I can be around until dinnertime. If you are interested, please email me about what your needs are and what you pay. Location: Baltimore Compensation: Negotiable This is a part-time job.Principals only. We Need After School Child Care (Ellicott City) Ellicott City Negotiable, but offering $15 per hour plus gas 2009-06-02 4:47PM
We need after school care for our 3 children in Ellicott City. We have twin girls who are 11 and entering 6th grade in the fall, and a 14 year old son who is going into 9th grade. They are very active after school (ballet, taekwondo, religious school, etc.) and need transportation to and from these activities, as well as supervision doing homework. Our son has Aspergers Syndrome, so the homework supervision is critical for him. He is hysterically funny, and we all value a good sense of humor! Aside from overseeing homework and driving to and from activities, the children will occasionally need to be fed, and we would want you to keep up with their laundry. You need your own car (and a good driving record), but we will pay for gasoline.During the school year, the kids get home from school at 3 and need to be watched until 7. The ideal nanny will be flexible enough to be available on days when school is closed (both planned closings and closings for inclement weather -- we are both physicians, and the hospital is open when it snows!) and when school closes early. We are laidback people who (I think) are easy to work with. And we offer 2 weeks paid vacation!!Hope to hear from you soon! Location: Ellicott City Compensation: Negotiable, but offering $15 per hour plus gas This is a part-time job.Principals only.
