Hello, Were looking for a friendly, responsible housemate to join three of us in a 2-story, 1958 mid-century home close to central Fremont and the Burke-Gilman Trail. The house feels like a treehouse, sitting on a small bluff, surrounded by Doug fir, black locust and cottonwood trees full of birds, with views between them to the Ship Canal and Olympics. Its like living in a park, and were a short walk to downtown Fremont, Leary Way, bus lines, PCC, Litehouse Coffee and the Burke Gilman trail. The room is ~ 12 x ~ 12, with ~ 8 of west-facing windows looking to the Ballard Bridge and the Olympics. Three of us share the four-bedroom home: two women and one man, all vegetarians. I own the house and work on climate & transportation issues for the City of Portland, so usually spend only one weekend a month in Seattle.Were looking for a vegetarian (or doesnt have meat or fish in the house), who doesn’t smoke, pays rent on time and will help keep the place clean. Our best housemates have had good communication skills (what a surprise). The rent is 220.00 which includes, water, septic, cable, internet. Very quiet and private. However we are not on a bus line. You can get dial lift to take you to the nearest store and ride free on the transit anywhere in Shelton. You will need to buy your propane to heat your hot water for showers and cooking and heat when needed. The third floor is completely secluded, you’d have three good sized bedrooms, good closet space, a large full bathroom and a very large great room right in the middle that could be your own living room. This would be a month - to - month agreement so I’m not looking for you to sign any long term lease. I would ask for references, do a typical renters background check, need to verify your employment and require a reasonable deposit. Your rent would include utilities, and if you want a phone line in the house, you’d pay Qwest to set that up for you (jacks are already available). I have Dish satellite TV and you’re welcome to set up your own account for that and watch whatever you like but it would have to be your own separate account. I work from my home and I keep pretty regular hours. I don’t really care what hours you work or when you come home, but I would prefer that your schedule be pretty regular as well.
