Hi,I found a place thats a really great deal, and Ive built a nice little community of folks to share it with. A little about the apartment: The place is absolutely beautiful. It’s a huge 2-story home. Has 4 bedroom and 3 baths. Additional common areas include a large backyard, deck, 2 car garage, kitchen, large living and family room. There’s also a fireplace, dishwasher, washer/dryer and garbage disposal. The place gets amazing amounts of light. During the day, the whole place is very well lit without the need for having lights on. I’ve already asked, and if the house wants, we can turn a portion of the backyard into a garden. I’d also like to make a compost pile and an outdoor fire pit. The nice thing about this being a house versus an apartment, is that we can do things like that to make the place cozier and our own. The neighborhood is also very quiet.Landlord stuff: Youd be taking over the lease from one of our departing roommates. It runs till the end of July. Two of the four of us want to stay on for the year afterwards, but you wouldnt have to if you didnt want to. The landlord wants first, last, and security. That being said, we can space it out / break it up, and figure something out if you cant put all of that up front. We split everything 4 ways, so its 500/month + 1/4 utilities as long as we keep all the bedrooms full. A little about me: My name is Angel. Im a 27 year old teacher. There is decent natural light in the main living area from south-facing windows, especially in the afternoon, but it is a basement apartment. The bedroom has a good sized closet and a window, but it is on the north side of the house so the natural light is limited. There is no off-street parking but non-permit street parking directly in front of the house is available. Pets are negotiable, landlord lives upstairs. Centrally located in Wallingford, the 16 and 44 bus lines are a block away and banks, restaurants, grocery, and post office are all within walking distance.
